today, in a pittsburgh attic, the aphrodite of melos was discovered. thought lost for lightyears, she was found in the space of a camera’s apperture, as mysterious as those notes unknown that exist between the keys on a piano. brought to this moment by a century’s searching, and covered only by a chiffon veil, she was there for all and any to see. a mere trick of the light. but her face, who was she? could she hold a man close, or walk on water? search every attic, all the archives, trawl the very depths held in the seachests of the world. for she must be complete, pieced together, the lily will be gilded. oh, wait a momemt, turn it round a little, a little more. ah yes, call off the dogs and dim the lights. it is aphrodite of megolos - i would know those breasts anywhere.

Fans of Atlas Sound will dig the spacey lo-fi of Toronto’s Tearjerker. Their new album, Strangers came out last month on Sore Thumb Records. It shuffles along a dusty road, kicking pebbles of melody around empty cans of sun-bleached reverb. You can stream it or download it free here.
I knew within the first 15 seconds of the first song, that I wanted, needed this album. On first listen, I totally love it!
